A very sweet, well- researched, insightful, illustrative, enriching, charming offering of love by Arvind T. Akki on the Mother's final arrival in Pondicherry on 24tth April 1920. Thank you. At one point, he rightly says to the effect that without the Mother's final return and joining Sri Aurobindo on this day, their vision of a new creation upon earth would not have taken off with assured success. It is this insightful perception that led Prof. Manoj Das to conclude a speech in Auroville with the words, "24th April, the greatest day in the history of the world."
My receiving such
selections and quotes by fellow-disciples on Whatsapp reminds me of the following
two quotes from Sri Aurobindo.
“The delight of the Spirit is ever new, the forms of beauty it takes
innumerable, its godhead ever young and the taste of the delight, rasa, of the
Infinite eternal and inexhaustible. The gnostic manifestation of life would be
more full and fruitful and its interest more vivid than the creative interest
of the Ignorance; it would be a greater and happier constant miracle.” (The
Life Divine)
Lines from Savitri :
"A Voice ill-heard shall speak, the soul obey,
A power into mind’s inner chamber steal,
A charm and sweetness open life’s closed door,
And beauty conquer the resisting world,
The truth-light capture Nature by surprise,
A stealth of God compel the heart to bliss
And earth grow unexpectedly divine. ||Savitri 11.46||
